Questions & Answers
Coastal Georgia's Freshman Orientation is here to help you smoothly transition into college life. During orientation, you'll participate in fun activities, informative sessions, and exciting events that will introduce you to our campus, its resources, and what to expect in your first year. Registering for orientation is also a required step in the enrollment process. The details you provide in your registration form will be shared with COMPASS Career & Academic Advising. This allows an advisor to create your class schedule before you arrive for orientation.
Yes, there are fees associated with orientation. There is a $80 orientation fee charged to all students and a $15 guest fee for all guests, regardless of age. Orientation fees will be charged to your student account after attending orientation.
Yes. Freshman orientation will take place on campus and requires in-person participation.
There are many options for accommodations when planning a visit to the College of Coastal Georgia. The Golden Isles Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has a comprehensive list available here.
Through the Mariner’s Mates program, the College of Coastal Georgia has partnered with several businesses in the Coastal Georgia Community. These businesses provide a discount to College of Coastal Georgia students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus at the point of purchase. You can find a list of hotels under "Hotel Accommodations" on our Visit Page.
It is recommended to park close to our Southeast Georgia Conference Center where check-in will be taking place. You'll want to take the entrance just down the road from the College of Coastal Georgia main entrance. This entrance will not be the one across from Brunswick High School.
